 February is African American History Month

February is an excellent month to renew your membership, $15 per year. Please help WCAAHAA to continue its 23-year legacy to document, preserve and highlight the history of African Americans of Walker County and NW Georgia. We truly need your support. This is our community to preserve. This is our beloved home.

The Walker County Preservation Authority

As we all know, the church was mysteriously burned in 2020; however, the cemetery remains active.

***Our Story Mural*** 

WCAAHAA, Inc proudly to announces the support of the Georgia Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts for the art project 

Our Story Mural

This project includes a mural for the north wall of the museum highlighting the African American Experience in Walker County Georgia We are asking the community for suggestions of images.

Also

All kindergarten through 12th grade students of Walker County, Georgia's schools, churches and nonprofit organizations may participate in

 WCAAHAA's African American History Month mini mural project.

Wednesday-Saturday: 1pm-2pm closed for lunch
